BIOGRAPHY
Practice Areas:
Ms. Camay started her legal career working in plaintiff personal injury supporting sole-practitioner attorneys in personal lines litigation. In 2012 she decided to take a seat on the “other side of the table” for carrier in-house staff counsel offices supporting attorneys in insurance defense litigation. She managed a well-known construction defect expert consulting office in Las Vegas and served as a litigation paralegal with private litigation law firms in Nevada and Washington state. Prior to her legal career, she was a store manager for the largest retailer of lingerie, clothing and beauty in the US and prior to that she served as a District Sales Manager for a junior retail clothing retailer.
Professional Activities:
Ms. Camay is the Founder of Local Vegas Legal Support, Inc., a non-profit organization that serves the needs of the legal support professional in the Las Vegas valley. Ms. Camay acknowledged there was a need to provide legal support staff with the tools and resources needed to be more effective in their role, especially when transferring into this jurisdiction. Ms. Camay is the Vice President of the National Workplace Bullying Coalition, an international best-selling author and recipient of the Presidential Volunteerism Award presented by President Barack Obama.
Hobbies and Interests:
Ms. Camay is an international plus-size titleholder in plus-size pageantry. She began competing in pageantry in 2012 in Washington state, raising awareness around kidney disease, a disease that claimed the life of both of her parents. Ms. Camay was crowned a Lifetime Queen in 2014 and given the nickname “shoe show” as her stage presence was always matched with a fabulous pair of shoes! She currently holds the title of Ms. Continental Royal Ambassador with Miss Plus World.
